Our Business Philosophy
We provide personal, hands-on service to our clients. Unlike some agents, we will not relegate you to work with assistants, but instead we will work directly with you.
We have a strong work ethic and are generous with our time. With a track record of providing top-notch customer service, we are committed to providing you as much personal service as you need.
While we cannot guarantee a stress-free transaction, we can guarantee that we will work through any issues that arise during your transaction. A real estate transaction is a very important and serious financial undertaking, so we will provide objective and straightforward representation that will helps you stay focused on both the emotional and financial issues most important to you. As knowledgeable, experienced Realtors, we will help you prepare the best deal, and avoid delays or costly mistakes.
It is important to us to establish and maintain trusting relationships with our clients; therefore, our long term success depends on your satisfaction with your transaction.
Local and Regional Ties
Both of us have long-standing ties to the Washington, DC area. Steve is a native of Silver Spring, MD, and has also lived in the Virginia suburbs and the District. Julieta lived in Montgomery County for more than 20 years. We are currently residents of Dupont Circle in Washington, DC and Shady Side, MD in Anne Arundel County.
Unlike some agents that focus on one particular neighborhood or area, we offer a regional approach to real estate sales. The DC area is a broad and interconnected region, and if you are selling your home, you will benefit from a listing agent with connections in all parts of the region. Potential buyers will come from all parts of the area, so it is important to consider that a large share of real estate sales comes as the result of an agent’s contacts through his or her network of agents, previous clients, referrals, friends, family, and other professional contacts.
If you are a buyer, you will benefit from our knowledge of many varied parts of the area from rural suburban counties to inner city neighborhoods.
Service Provider Relationships
We have long-standing relationships with service providers who can help you obtain a mortgage, make home repairs, do home inspections, obtain legal advice, and conduct settlements. In each instance we are happy to recommend more than one provider. We do not receive compensation from any of the providers, but can offer you assurance in the quality and professionalism of the work of my recommended providers.
Clear and straightforward communication with clients is one of our top goals. We are always available to our clients by cell phone and email to answer any questions and concerns. In addition, we will meet with you in person at our office or any location convenience for you. If you are a seller, we will provide you regular updates about your listing according to your preferences. This will include regular reports on showing activity, updates about recent sales in your neighborhood, and feedback from agents and potential buyers. If you are a buyer, we will regularly send you listings and keep you apprised of market conditions.
Our monthly e-newsletter for clients provides timely information about market conditions and sales statistics, mortgage interest rates, and offers insights into current topics in real estate.
Not only will we help get you the best possible price, we will also help you get most favorable terms in your contract. In selling or buying a home, we will advise you on many negotiating factors, including but not limited to price, financing, terms, contingencies, date of possession, and inclusion or exclusion of repairs, furnishings, or equipment.
